Preserving Our Heritage

Except for improvements in mould-making compounds, since the times of renowned Scottish neoclassical architect, Robert Adam (1728 – 1792), there has been little deviation from the techniques and methods used to this day by our talented craftsmen here at Fullbrooks. Our founder trained under the old masters; people who produced plaster mouldings for royal palaces. These traditional skills, steeped in heritage, have been passed on from generation to generation and the Fullbrook family are committed to ensuring that this culturally important skill is preserved and continued. As members of The Guild of Master Craftsmen, Fullbrooks of England has been duly recognised as a centre of excellence when it comes to decorative plaster mouldings.

We have excellent working relationships with building firms both locally to the Cotswolds and further afield that we have built up over many years and we can offer you professional guidance to both private and commercial clients for projects of any size as well as continuous support as and when required. This obviously includes visits to the site to provide estimates for your plaster mouldings or assess and discuss what is required from your architectural drawings.

Protect the Value of your Property with Fullbrooks Plaster Mouldings

Though it is hard to quantify the intangible contribution historic buildings make to our quality of life, both here in the UK and abroad, there are statistics that can give you some idea of the monetary value of properly maintained architectural features. Data compiled by English Heritage and The London School of Economics proves that conservation area status adds 9% more to the monetary value of housing. Neglected properties in conservation areas can have their ‘added value’ reduced to 5%. Preserving (or adding) value to your home by maintaining and restoring existing plaster mouldings or investing in new pieces which re-introduce the period styling of your property makes a great deal of sense both aesthetically and commercially.
